Top 10 Disneyland Resort Attraction Moments

Disneyland is full of great attractions. What makes them great, though, are the memorable scenes throughout. Here are 10 of the best scenes at the Disneyland Resort. What are your favorites?

Finale Room of "it’s a small world"
The finale room of it's a small world gives me such a thrill. You pass through the United States room and it's home spun music and then hit with the triumphant return of the familiar tune. And, there before us are all the nations represented and all wearing white showing the unity of the world. It's a beautiful sight to see.

When Rocket Racoon connects the plug on “Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: Breakout”
The best part of Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: Breakout isn't the actual drops. It's that moment when the elevator moves back and you see Rocket Racoon pop up. He connects the plug and the music goes off. We know it's time to party and it puts us in such a great mood that it gives us such a thrill for that first rise. It's what helps differentiate us from the tone of the original Tower of Terror.

The Launch Tunnel in “Space Mountain”
The best moment in Space Mountain is not necessarily the ride itself. It's that moment you make the turn and enter the launch tunnel. Disneyland has changed up the scene in there depending on the version, from entering hyperspace for Hyperspace Mountain to the spookiness of Ghost Galaxy. Whatever the case, the launch tunnel builds up the anticipation for the rest of the ride. By the time we reach countdown, we are ready to go.

The Waterfall on “Radiator Springs Racers”
The best scene of Radiator Springs Racers isn't anything in the interior or the actual race itself. It's that moment when the ride starts and you are taking a leisurely ride with the score from Cars playing in the background. Suddenly, the music builds and we are treated to a view of the bridge going over the waterfall. It's breathtaking and we immediately know that we are on something special. I know I marvel at it's beauty every time.
Flying over London and into Never Land on “Peter Pan’s Flight”
Think of all the joy you'll find, when you leave the world behind! You can fly! Flying over London on Peter Pan's flight is such a treat. You really feel as if you are flying. And there's lots of fun Easter Eggs in this scene, including a hidden Mickey. So, be sure to pay attention.

The Evil Queen turning into the Witch on “Snow White’s Scary Adventure”
The best scene on Snow White's Scary Adventure is when we see the Queen looking through her Magic Mirror asking "Mirror, mirror on the wall. Who's the fairest of them all?" As we approach, she suddenly turns and we see her as the Witch! It's such a spooky and great effect.

Hawaiian War Chant from “Enchanted Tiki Room”
I love the entire show for the Enchanted Tiki Room, but the best part is at the end when they do the Hawaiian War Chant. At first, the song starts out gentle with the flowers singing. But, then, the tikis join in and the chant becomes harsher. The music swells and suddenly there is thunder and rain. Michael then proclaims, "The gods have been angered by all the celebratin’!" To this day, I still think it's raining out when I leave the attraction. The scene is not for everybody, though, as it had my nephew freaked out for years.

Escaping the Star Destroyer on “Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance”
There are so many fantastic scenes on Star Was: Rise of the Resistance and it was hard to pick one. But, for me, I think the most exciting part is when we enter the escape pod and escape from the Star Destroyer. There's a lot of anticipation as you watch other pods drop. Then, suddenly, your pod drops and it is thrilling. What a feeling!

Running with Dash on “The IncrediCoaster”
For me, the best part of The IncrediCoaster is that moment at the beginning. You're stopped for a few seconds and then, suddenly, we are running with Dash at top speed into the ride. He makes an "appearance" by the spray of water that hits you as you move forward. It's a thrilling part of the ride that really teleports you into the world of The Incredibles.

The Graveyard on “Haunted Mansion”
The Haunted Mansion is another attraction that has such wonderful scenes that it's hard to pick just one. But, I've always enjoyed the whimsy of the attraction and there is nothing more whimsical than the graveyard scene...as strange a statement as that might seem. It's the part where we hear "Grim Grinning Ghosts" and we see so many ghosts at play. It just makes me so happy going through it.
