PROFILE: Ally Maki

And continuing our Asian Pacific American Heritage Month profiles, we take a look at Ally Maki. She might not have a long career at Disney, but she has made a lasting impression. I wanted to include her for ethnic diversity among the profiles as well as...well...I HEART Giggles McDimples.
Ally Maki was born Ally Matsumura in 1986 in Kirkland, Washington. At 14, she was scouted by a talent agent and went to live in a communal home for upcoming artists in Santa Clarita, California.
She made her first Disney appearance in 2003 in a small part on That's So Raven. In 2018, she got a role as Tandy's friend Mina Hess in Marvel's Cloak and Dagger on Freeform.

And, of course, in 2019, she lent her voice to Officer Giggles McDimples in Pixar's Toy Story 4. She is the head of Pet Patrol for Miniopolis that oversees search and rescue. She is Bo Peep's friend and confident. Kind of like her own Jiminy Cricket. Maki reprised her role for Lamp Life on Disney+.
