Preparing for Avengers: Endgame - How To Watch The Marvel Studios Movies

In the advent of Marvel Studios's release of Avengers: Endgame, I'm often asked by people how they should watch the Marvel Studios movies if they want to watch a marathon beforehand. Since today is 21 days before the movie is released, I thought I'd share this blog so you can watch a film a day in preparation.

Before I go into those viewing ways, a few notes. I bolded the films I thought were most important to watch. If they are also italicized, they have critical information for watching Avengers: Endgame. And the links are to my thoughts and reviews of those movies in case you want a refresher. Okay, now on to the ways into watch them.

For me, there are two ways in which you can watch them. The first is in the order in which they were released, which is the way I prefer as I always believe that Iron Man should be the first film somebody should watch when experiencing the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It shows how this universe began and it cannot be understated its importance in the overall storytelling.

5. Captain America: The First Avenger (2011)

6. Marvel's The Avengers (2012)

7. Iron Man 3 (2013)

10. Guardians of the Galaxy (2014)

11. Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015)

12. Ant-Man (2015)

13. Captain America: Civil War (2016)

14. Doctor Strange (2016)

15. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017)

16. Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017)

But, since the Marvel Cinematic Universe is a shared universe and is known for its continuity, many people like to watch them in chronological order as they would on a timeline:
