Character Encounters Coming To Avengers Campus
Today, Disney announced that Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure will be opening on July 18 this year. Since I am a big character fan, I thought I'd talk about the many character experiences that will be coming to the new Marvel themed land. Dan Fields, executive creative director for Disney Parks Live Entertainment, promises, “This is going to be the largest assembly of these heroes anyplace, anytime, anywhere. We really have a place for them to live and work and play and protect and train.”
Starting over at Avengers Headquarters, which will feature an Avengers Quinjet on the top, we will find some our favorite Marvel heroes battling a new villain - Taskmaster - who will be making his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in Marvel's Black Widow. Taskmaster has the uncanny ability to learn and mimic the moves of his opponents. This dazzling stunt show will take place several times during the day, so be sure to look up into the skies for some adventurous fun.
Over at the Worldwide Engineering Brigade (aka WEB), which will also house the thrilling WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure attraction, Spider-Man will be making appearances.
Over at the Sanctum, Doctor Strange will be found where he will train young recruits in the ancient mystic arts.
Around the Campus, Black Panther and his Dora Milaje, led by General Okoye who will be making his debut appearance, will train young recruits in the Wakandan way.
Continuing to be found over at Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout will be Star-Lord, Gamora and Groot
And, if that weren't enough, we will see the debut of Iron Man in his Mach-80 Iron as well as Ant-Man and the Wasp!
We will also continue to see our other Marvel friends including Captain America, Captain Marvel, Black Widow, Thor and Loki!
