10 of our Favorite Jedi

They are the fearless Force sensitive beings that fought long and hard in conflicts spanning from the days of the Republic all the way to the Fall of the First Order. These are 10 of our favorite Jedi. Who are your favorites?

Kit Fisto

Kit Fisto was a Nautolan Jedi Master who fought in the First Battle of Genosis and the Battle of Mon Cala. He is amphibian coming from a water world. When Mace Windu went to confront the Chancellor, Kit Fisto was with him. The meeting resulted in a duel where Fisto was killed by the Chancellor.

Shaak Ti

Shaak Ti was a Togruta Jedi Master. She participated in many battles, including the Battles of Geonosis, Kamino, and Coruscant. She personally oversaw the training and development of the Clones on Kamino, but became involved after Fives discovered the inhibitor chips in the clones being kept secret from the Jedi. Shaak Ti was eventually killed by Darth Vader while meditating during the Siege of the Jedi Temple.

Mace Windu

Mace Windu was a human Jedi Master second only to Yoda himself on the Jedi Council. He served as a general, an advisor to the Chancellor and a diplomat. No matter what he did, he was devoted to the ancient traditions of the Jedi. When he became suspicious of Palpatine, he took some Jedi to confront him. A duel ensued and Windu was struck down. Palpatine used this act to declare the Jedi traitors to the Republic, justifying Order 66.

Plo Kloon

Plo Koon was a Kel Dor Jedi Master known for taking on daring missions. He fought in the First Battle of Geonosis, the Battle of Abregado and the Second Battle of Felucia. He was also the one who found Ahsoka Tano and brought her to the Jedi Council for training. Sadly, Plo Koon met his demise during Order 66.

Yoda was, perhaps, the oldest of the Jedi having lived through nine centuries. His race has been lost to time. He has trained countless Jedi throughout time. He watched the fall of the Republic and the rise of the Empire. After Order 66, he went into hiding on Dagobah where he lived until Luke Skywalker came to be trained by the legendary Jedi Master. After training him, Yoda decided that it was his time to become one with the Force.

Obi-Wan Kenobi

Obi-Wan Kenobi was a legendary Human Jedi Master. He served as Padawan to Qui-Gon Jin who was killed by Darth Maul. Kenobi then killed Darth Maul, or so he thought. Before Jin's death, Jin made him promise to train Anakin Skywalker who he believed was the chosen one. He made good on his promise, training young Skywalker despite the hesitance of the Jedi Council. Kenobi fought hard during the Clone Wars, ever training his hot headed Padawan who eventually grew into a Jedi Master in his own right. During Order 66 and the Siege of the Jedi Temple, he fought against his former charge now the Sith Darth Vader. Kenobi defeated him and went into hiding on Tatooine to keep an eye on Luke Skywalker. He was eventually contacted by Skywalker to get help to deliver information vital to the rebellion to Alderaan. They eventually end up on the Death Star where Kenobi fights with Vader. In order for Skywalker and the others to escape, he allowed himself to be struck down.

Luke Skywalker

Luke Skywalker was a Human Jedi Master who served during the Galactic Civil War. He became embroiled in the conflict when he saw a message from Leia Organa asking assistance from Obi-Wan Kenobi. With the help of Han Solo and Chewbacca, they travel to what they think is Alderaan only to find it destroyed and the Death Star in its place. They rescue Leia from the hands of Vader and he became an active part of the Rebellion. At the behest of Obi-Wan Kenobi's Force ghost, Skywalker went to Dagobah to be trained by Yoda. His training was cut short when his friends needed him. On Cloud City, Skywalker fought Darth Vader where he learned the Sith Lord was his father. By this time, he was strong with the Force and went to Tatooine to rescue his friend Solo who had been frozen in Carbonite and brought to Jabba the Hutt. After rescuing him, Skywalker tries to go back to Dagobah to continue his training, but finds the Jedi Master is ready to become one with the Force. He eventually ends up in a conflict with both Vader and Palpatine, but when he refuses to strike down his father, Vader ends up rescuing Skywalker. After the Fall of the Empire, he trains other Force sensitive beings but is eventually betrayed by his nephew Ben who became Kylo Ren. He ends up a recluse on Ach-To until he is found by Rey who he unwillingly ends up training. Eventually Rey becomes fed up with him and goes to Crait to help the Resistance. On Crait, Skywalker astral projects himself to fight against the First Order. Defeating them there,he becomes one with the Force to later guide Rey.

Rey Skywalker

Rey Skywalker was a Human Jedi who had no last name originally having been abandoned on Jakku to fend for herself. She eventually found her way off when she goes to assist Finn who she believes is a member of the Resistance. It's with him that she came into contact with Han Solo and Chewbacca who assisted in bringing her to the Resistance, but she is captured by Kylo Ren who he saw a great connection with the Force. Using her nascent powers, she was able to escape and went to work with the Resistance. Her first job was to go find Luke Skywalker who she tracked to the planet Ach-To. She found Skywalker resistant and hardly the Jedi Master she heard stories about. But, she got him to train her nonetheless. After the Battle of Crait and Skywalker becoming one with the Force, Rey received the rest of her training from Leia Organa. She worked with Poe Dameron and Finn to find the dark world of Exegol to stop the Sith from returning. It's there that she discovered she was the granddaughter of Palpatine who was still alive. Rey is able to muster the collective energy of the Jedi who went before her to defeat him while helping Kylo Ren find peace. After the fall of the First Order, Rey took on the name Skywalker to honor both Luke and Leia.

Kanan Jarrus

Kanan Jarrus was a Human Jedi Knight. He was born Caleb Dune, serving as Padawan to Jedi Master Depa Billaba. He ended up surviving Order 66 and went into hiding. The Smugler Janus Kasmir taught him how to survive and Jarrus eventually traded in his lightsaber for a blaster. He eventually ended up working with Hera Syndulla for the Rebellion with whom he had a romantic relationship. Together, they discovered the Force Sensitive Ezra Bridger who Jarrus eventually agrees to train. He also taught Sabine Wren how to use the Darksaber, an ancient weapon used by the Mandalorians. Jarrus eventually met his fate when he sacrificed himself for the Rebels from Imperial Forces.

Ahsoka Tano

Ahsoka Tano was the Togruta Padawan of Anakin Skywalker. She was found by Plo Koon and brought to the Jedi Temple for training. She was young and brash, but quickly found herself a leader in many a battle and respect from the Clone troopers she worked with, particularly Captain Rex. When she was accused of a crime she did not commit by the Jedi, she was expelled and, when she was cleared, she decided to not come back, believing the Jedi had lost its way. During the Siege of Mandalore, Ahsoka came to the Jedi for help. Anakin allowed part of the 501st to assist. After the Siege was successful, Order 66 was issued. But, with Ahsoka's help, Captain Rex fought against his inhibitor chip and saved her. Ahsoka later became involved with the Rebellion as Fulcrum. She later went in search with Sabine to find Ezra Bridger.
