Trip Report: Arriving At The Tokyo DisneySea Hotel MiraCosta (April 2, 2014)

Our first day at the Tokyo Disney Resort we spent at Tokyo DisneySea since our primary objective of our visit was to meet Oswald the Lucky Rabbit who was making his Disney Parks debut that day.  Our car dropped us off at the Tokyo DisneySea Hotel MiraCosta which, like Disney's Grand Californian does with Disney California Adventure at the Disneyland Resort, serves as a border with Tokyo DisneySea.

The outside of the hotel features Italian architecture to match Tokyo DisneySea's Mediterranean Harbor. In front is a beautiful fountain featuring various sea creatures.

Before going into the park, we stopped inside the lobby of the hotel.  It was absolutely stunning!

When you look up, you see amazing portraits of women, each of them representing the MiraCosta and the various "lands" or "ports of call" of Tokyo DisneySea. I wish I could have captured the whole thing, but in order for me to do so, I would have had to lie down on the floor. LOL!

In the middle of the lobby is a wonderful explorer ship featuring Mickey and the gang as its crew!

After a bit of explorahtion, it was time to journey to Tokyo DisneySea.  On the way down to the park, we enjoyed the cherry blossoms in bloom...
