Top Executive Anne Sweeney To Leave Disney
Anne Sweeney, Co-Chair of Disney Media Networks and President of the Disney/ABC Television Group, has announced her intention to step down before her contract ends in 2015.  She is leaving to pursue becoming a television director.  Bob Iger has said that this was her decision alone and hopes to find a successor before the end of the pilot season in May. Festival Of Fantasy Parade Premieres At Magic Kingdom
On March 9, the Festival of Fantasy Parade kicked off at the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World. The approximately 15 minute parade features a cavalcade of floats and characters and music by Mark Hammond who composed the music for Mickey's Soundsational Parade at Disneyland.  The parade features many interesting details on the float which Inside the Magic managed to capture beautifully in both photos and videos.  Some of the striking elements of the parade include FROZEN's Anna wearing her coronation party dress, a marvelously dancing Ulf from Tangled and a Steampunk-style Maleficent float. MyMagic+ Becomes Available To Annual Passholders
As MyMagic+ continues to roll out Walt Disney World, Annual Passholders will now be equipped with Magic Bands and be able to use the FastPass+ system.  Annual Passholders can make 7 days of FastPass+ reservations 30 days of their visit for one park.  Although, if they are staying at one of Disney's Resort hotels, they can also make reservations up to 60 days in advance like other Resort guests.  For more information, see the Walt Disney World site. Oswald The Lucky Rabbit To Start Meeting April 2 At Tokyo DisneySea
The Tokyo Disney Resort has finally confirmed that Oswald the Lucky Rabbit will be meeting guests at the Cape Cod section of TokyoDisneySea.  This will be the first time the character will appear for meet-and-greets at the Disney Parks! (source: Character Central)

Disneyland To Offer Springtime Roundup
The Easter Bunny will return this year to the Disneyland Resort at he brings spring joy with the Springtime Roundup at the Big Thunder Ranch Jamboree.  Joining the Easter Bunny will be many of his Disney Rabbit friends to meet guests.  Egg demonstrations, crafts and seasonal food will also be available.  Springtime Roundup will run from March 28-April 20. Anna & Elsa Move To Fairytale Hall At Magic Kingdom
After their popular run at the Norway Pavilion at Epcot, starting April 20, FROZEN's Anna & Elsa will move to the Princess Fairytale Hall at the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World.  FastPass+ will be available to meet these beloved characters.  Cinderella and Rapunzel will also continue to meet at Princess Fairytale Hall. Captain America: The Winter Soldier Holds Premiere At El Capitan Theatre
The World Premiere for Captain America: The Winter Soldier was held on March 13 at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood, CA. The star studded attendance included Chris Evans (Steve Rogers/Captain America), Scarlett Johansson (Natasha Romanov/Black Widow), Sebastian Stan (Bucky Barnes/The Winter Soldier), Anthony Mackie (Sam Wilson/The Falcon) and Samuel L. Next Disney Kingdoms' Comic To Feature Figment and Dreamfinder
Disney and Marvel have announced that after the 5-issue story arc for "Seekers of the Weird" ends this summer, the next Disney Kingdoms storyline will feature the beloved Figment and Dreamfinder characters from Epcot's Journey Into Imagination.  The story starting in FIGMENT #1 will answer the question of how the Dreamfinder came to create our mischievous purple dragon friend and will feature a steampunk spin. Jim Zub (Skullkickers) will serve as writer with art by Filipe Andrade (Captain Marvel).  The first issue is scheduled to be released in June. (source: Inside The Magic)

Adrian Pasdar To Play Hulk Enemy Glenn Talbot On Marvel's Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Marvel Studios has announced that the character Glenn Talbot, known the comic book fans as the man who hunted The Hulk, will be making his debut on Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. this April.  Talbot will be played by Adrian Pasdar, known to Marvel fans as Iron Man in Marvel's Avengers Assemble.  No date or other details were given as to how Talbot will make his debut.

Captain America 3 To Face Off Against Batman/Superman
Earlier in the year, Warner Brothers moved the date of release for its upcoming Batman/Superman movie to May 6, 2016, the same date a previously unannounced Marvel Studios film would also be released.  Marvel Studios has now announced that the film will be Captain America 3.  No further details have been given about either film. Marvel Studios, this week, released featurettes featuring Black Widow and The Falcon.  Check them out!

Update On Marvel's Agent Carter TV Series
Collider spoke with Captain America screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely about what was going on with the rumored Agent Carter television series.  They said that ABC has the script for a pilot but has not greenlit anything.  They also said that Hayley Atwell, the actor who plays Peggy Carter in the Captain America films and Agent Carter One-Shot, says she's interested in doing a series. They also said that Howard Stark would play a recurring character, providing Dominic Cooper is interested.  The series would take place in 1946 and would be a 13 episode limited series rather than a full 22 episode season (source: Collider)

Casting News For Star Wars: Episode VII
Variety has reported that J.J. Abrams has a shortlist of actors he's looking at for the lead in the upcoming Star Wars: Episode VII.  Among the candidates are Ed Speelers (Downton Abbey), John Boyega (Attack Of The Block) and previously rumored Jesse Plemmons (Friday Night Lights).  Also being considered are theater actors Michael James Thomas (Pippin) and Ray Fisher (Fetch Clay, Make Man).  Diversity is being considered for the role and while no details have been given about the role, sources say that it is for a Jedi apprentice. Muppets Most Wanted Premieres At El Capitan Theatre
On March 11, the World Premiere for Muppets Most Wanted was held at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood, CA.  Among the many celebrities in attendance were the movie's three main live action stars Ricky Gervais (Dominic Badguy), Tina Fey (Nadya) and Ty Burrell (Jean Pierre Napoleon).  The Muppets also made appearances, rolling up in 2014 Toyota Highlanders.  And, before the screening, everybody's favorite Muppet curmudgeons Waldorf and Statler were there to heckle.
