Throwback Thursday - 2/27/14 (Lockdown at Disneyland - March 3, 2012)

Today's Throwback Thursday takes us back to the morning of March 3, 2012.  That morning, Disneyland was on lockdown due to a suspicious package in the Esplanade. For those of us who were able to enter the park before it was locked down, it meant a glorious morning of no lines and almost complete emptiness. This picture of Peter Pan's Flight, which was taken around 10:00 am, indicates how empty the park was. For those not familiar with Peter Pan's Flight at Disneyland, there is ALWAYS a line as it is, perhaps, the most popular Fantasyland dark ride at the park. We pretty much had the park to ourselves for 3 hours. It was AMAZING!

    1. What was sad was I was totally oblivious to what was going on for the first hour. I just thought it was an extraordinarily light day. Then, people started texting me asking if I was evacuated. But, turns out they just kept us locked in...and it was GLORIOUS!
