November 22, 2013 - Jingle Cruise

The newest holiday overlay at Disneyland is the Jingle Cruise, so I had to go and check it out.

When I went, I actually didn't go through the regular queue and didn't get to see the decor in there.  Admittedly, I was a little grumpy because of the drizzle.  So, I just kind of wanted to get on the ride.  I did like the way they decorated the boats and even gave the boats new holiday names...

The attraction itself is more dependent on the Jungle Cruise Skipper's new holiday themed jokes than an actual overlay.  And, again, I didn't think about switching to video to capture some of the jokes while I was on it because I kept thinking I would see a Santa hat or scarf on the animals.  And, so, the attraction pretty much looked exactly the same as it normally does...

That said, despite the lack of the actual theming of the attraction itself, I enjoyed the holiday overlay.  I don't know if it will become quite the classic holiday overlay as Haunted Mansion Holiday or "it's a small world" holiday.  It's very simple.  But, it's always nice to see more holiday theming.  And, see, here I'm giving it two thumbs up!

And, after the cruise, they handed out, as part of "Limited Time Magic," a Jingle Cruise poster.  The poster is actually a nice one on a thicker paper that I would have imagined.
