May 7, 2013 - Starting The Day On Space Mountain

When we arrived at Tokyo Disneyland, we were greeted by our guides and were taken to Space Mountain.

The exterior is modeled after Space Mountain at Disneyland, the original Magic Kingdom.  I liked these windowed moving walkways that take you up to Space Mountain.

Once we got to the top, we were ready to enter the space station (presented by Coca-Cola).

The interior was similar, but different, from the one in California.  They had plenty of view screens that had more of a modern feel than the retro-70s science fiction California has.

Once you get into the actual space port, it almost feels like you're at Space Mountain in California except for the much more modern and alien looking space ship parked at the dock.

The actual ride through was fairly comparable to the one in California, except it lacks the fabulous music by Michael Giacchino.  But, from what I remember, the ride was just as exciting.  It was a good way to start the day!

  1. And then from there we hurdled across the park at warp speed to a show... and then raced back over the opposite end again! :P LOL

  2. LOL! I was just writing about how we inexplicably were rushed from Tomorrowland to Adventureland only to go back to Tomorrowland right after. LOL!
