May 5, 2013 - Port Discovery

The last land at Tokyo DisneySea we explored was Port Discovery which is probably the park's smallest land.  It is hailed as the "Marina of the Future" and the architecture is very reminiscent of that of Discoveryland in Disneyland Paris.

Port Discover contains two attractions.  One of them is StormRider, which I'll go more into detail when we eventually ride it later during our stay...

...and the other was Aquatopia which is one that I wish we had rode this day because we didn't get to ride it later.  It is another trackless system ride that takes you round and round the bay, looping around the other cars on the attraction and avoiding whirlpools.  It looked like great fun!

Above head is the station for the DisneySea Electric Railway which takes guests to the New York Harbor at the American Waterfront.

We also stopped to watch a steampunk themed band that was really quite good.  They set dates in their time machine and would play music of that era.  Such a fun idea!

I'll be back to tell you more about Port Discovery when we have breakfast at Horizon Bay, the land's character dining restaurant, as well as some other character meet-and-greets and our ride on StormRider!
