May 21, 2013 - Les Mystères du Nautilus

When we entered the park, we went to Discoveryland (Disneyland Paris's version of Tomorrowland) where most of the Disney Dreamers went on Space Mountain: Mission 2.

Space Mountain at Disneyland Paris is very different from the other Space Mountains around the world.  The one in Paris has loops and corkscrews and, therefore, is named "Space Mountain: Mission 2."  While I don't have problems with loops and corkscrews, I declined to go on the ride because my head ends up bouncing off the headrests too much and it ends up being really painful.  So, to avoid having a headache for the next couple hours, I stayed behind.

But, since it was raining, those of us who didn't ride hoped to find a place that we could find shelter and decided to go to Les Mystères du Nautilus (The Mysteries of the Nautilus) right next door.

Les Mystères du Nautilus takes us aboard the Nautilus, Captain Nemo's famous submarine in Jules Verne's book and Walt Disney's classic film 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea.

I love attractions like this that are so full of detail, yet doesn't require a ride.  Disneyland Paris is full of these attractions that really add to the texture of their respective lands.  And, what's nice about Les Mystères du Nautilus is that it doesn't take up a lot of real estate either despite being quite cavernous.  I absolutely love it!
