May 17, 2013 - Cinderella Castle

I have to admit that my second favorite Disney Castle is Cinderella Castle at the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World.  While Cinderella Castle in Tokyo is almost an exact replica, as you can see from this view down Main Street, the one in Florida just seems majestic standing at the end.

  1. Unless I'm being dim, or you changed your mind, DLP is number 1, right?... So where do the others fall in your ranking? I'm surprised DL isn't second!!

  2. Yes, be surprised. Don't get me wrong. I love Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland. It will always be special. But, I actually do think I like Cinderella Castle slightly more just for its majestic feel, especially looking at it down Main Street. Disneyland's is a close third followed by Tokyo and then Hong Kong. Of course, Disneyland Paris's is first. :)

  3. It's difficult for me to rate them, overall. I would definitely put DLP's at the top, no doubt. And HKDL's at the bottom (I'm sorry, the faded for authenticity look doesn't wash with me lol!).
The other three have different factors that make them hard to rank.
Tokyo's does have the gorgeous walk-thru though, which I wish you could have seen. It's truly stunning. And it does have a large store inside, too.
I just really don't like the colour scheme.
WDW's I like the colours more than TDL's, and I think, for me at least, the setting around it is nicer. But, I don't like the restaurant much. It feels too old, and the theme is definitely off. It's more Gothic German somehow than elegant French, which is so strange. And I don't like that there is no store either, it's a stupid Bibidi Bopidy Boutique instead! The only two things in WDW's Castle, you have to pay for! Anyone who visits for the first time are always left diasppointed because you can't do anything except walk through the middle of it!
DL's is nice because the colours are pretty, and you have the walk-thru, AND a store! On top of that it is the original. But, it is immensely small.
HKDL's is just grey, drab and doesn't have a store in it, let alone a walk-thru! Heaven forbid! LOL!

Anyway, just the musings of a clearly insane man LOL!
