May 11, 2013 - Stark Industries Presents Iron Man Tech At Innoventions

For this next bit, I'm going to use several photos I took previously at Stark Industries Presents Iron Man Tech at Innoventions because, in my haze, I didn't take pictures except for this one on the exterior.  So, that's why I'm filling in the rest with the photos I have.

Anyway, I have to say that I was impressed by Disney's first foray into incorporating a Marvel property into the original Magic Kingdom.  Many of the purists scoff at the idea, and, admittedly, I did at first.  But, the more I thought about it and the more I saw what Marvel was doing with their Entertainment Division.  I see the potential.  I don't think it's any more intrusive, really, than the Star Wars and Indiana Jones properties that already exist within the park.

Also, note the difference with the armor between the Hall of Armor here and the one we saw at Hysan Place in Hong Kong.  Not to put the Hong Kong version down (especially since it had a lot of great parts about it), but the Hall of Armor here looks much more authentic.

My biggest criticism of this exhibit is that it is fairly small, especially given the amount of real estate that Innoventions has.  So, you have this tiny, extremely popular area of Innoventions and vast wastelands of space elsewhere.  Personally, if they plan to keep Innoventions, which I hope they don't, they should just go ahead and make the whole thing Stark Industries.  I realize that's not a popular opinion among many Disney fans - the Stark Industries part as I'm fairly certain everybody agrees on the dumping Innoventions part.  But, it's my opinion.  And, I'm sticking to it.
