May 1, 2013 - The Golden Mickeys

One of the highlights of any trip to Hong Kong Disneyland is watching The Golden Mickeys at Disney's Storybook Theater.  While the dialogue is mostly in Chinese and while they do have scrolling translation, you really don't need to know what they're saying.  With wonderful sets and great Disney music, The Golden Mickeys is a show that transcends language.  It's an emotional show that keeps you smiling and singing throughout.

Like Hong Kong's "Festival of the Lion King," this is one of my favorite productions at any Disney Park.  Yes, the last film represented in the show is Lilo & Stitch and no new material has been added.  It's a very 90s Disney animated show.  But the songs and sequences they picked are some of my favorites.  And, the transitions from one scene to the next were just amazing.

After the show, several of the characters and performers came out for a photo opportunity.
