May 24, 2013 - Disney Dreamers Everywhere Gala Dinner and Finale: Part 4 - Grand Finale Dinner Meet-And-Greets

After the show, suddenly, curtains around the room began to open revealing the most intricate meet-and-greet areas I'd ever seen before.  They were absolutely amazing!

The first meet-and-greet area was the Disney Bros. Studios.  At this meet-and-greet area, I had a chance to meet Mickey Mouse as Walt Disney...

...and, I also got a chance to meet Chip 'n' Dale in their 1920s outfits...

Actually, Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Chip 'n' Dale met in their 1920s outfits at the Disney Bros. Studios area.  Unfortunately, because there were so many choices in meet-and-greet areas and the length of time they were out, I had to prioritize.

Anyway, the next meet-and-greet area was the Three Caballeros meet-and-greet area.  It looked like it was something right out of the film.  Mary Blair would have been proud!

The first character to meet there was Donald Duck...

He was followed by the lovable Gauchito and Burrito!  Again, these were amazing characters to meet!

After Gauchito and Burrito, I was surprised, pleasantly, to meet Yaya.  I didn't think they'd have her meeting as a character, but am so glad that they did!  That sequence in the show blew my mind!

...and, then, it was time to meet the Three Caballeros themselves - Panchito Pistoles, Donald Duck and Jose Carioca!

And, later...Panchito, Jose, Gauchito, Burrito and Yaya came out to meet together!

The next meet-and-greet area was dressed as the Tugley Woods from Walt Disney's Alice in Wonderland.  Again, another fabulously designed area that looks like something out of the movie!

The first out was Daisy in her Wonderland costume...

Later, I got a picture with the Cheshire Cat himself!

And, then, I got a chance to meet with the Mad Hatter and the March Hare...

And, later, the Alice in Wonderland characters came out for a group shot!

The next meet-and-greet area was The Lion King area.

First, I monkeyed around with Rafiki...

Then, I finally got a chance to meet the three hyenas - Shenzi, Banzai and Ed!  I was so excited to get shots with them because I'd only had a chance to see them in the Halloween parade at Walt Disney World and my photos sucked.

And, then, the group picture with Timon, Rafiki and the hyenas...

On the other side, there was the Princess and the Frog meet-and-greet area. Admittedly, I didn't spend a lot of time in this area since I had met all these characters individually before.  It's not that I didn't love them.  It's just with limited time, again, I had to prioritize and make sure I got photos with the characters I hadn't met yet.

First, I got to meet Goofy in his New Orleans outfit...

Then, later, I did a group shot with the gang.

And then the next meet-and-greet area was The Emperor's New Groove area.  I loved the throne in the middle of this meet-and-greet area which made for some fun photos!

First up were Chip 'n' Dale in their red and blue guard costumes...

Then, I met with Kuzco himself!

Kronk was up next...

And, then, of course, there was the group shot!

And, then, there was the Mulan meet-and-greet area which I just loved.  I actually spent a lot of time here because, even though I had met Mulan, Mushu and Shan Yu individually, Li Shang had seemed to elude me all these years...and I really wanted to meet Li Shang.

First, Minnie came out in her traditional Chinese dress...

Mulan then came out in her new dress...

Mushu then came out to clown around...

...while Shan Yu came out to threaten!

Yay!  Finally!  A chance to meet Li Shang!  I was so excited!

And, as with all the other areas, a group shot with all the characters!

During the last set, another curtained area opened up to reveal a meet-and-greet area for Mickey and Friends in their Disney Dreamers Everywhere outfits.  I had to get my group shot with them having now completed my Disney Dreamers Everywhere tour!

Wow!  What a wonderful night of meeting such fantastic characters with the best backdrops I've ever seen.  Each set, as you could see, was so detailed and amazing.  I just wish we had enough time to meet at all the meet-and-greet areas.  But, honestly, I was so happy being able to meet who I could.  It was the ultimate dream!

Comments

  1. So, which meets did you miss? How did you miss some? Jon and I managed all of them except Pluto in his Simba hat, sadly. Admittedly we didn't get every set the first time around necessarily, but we definitely had them all by the time the groups came out.
I was actually annoyed that we got as close as finishing them all, and only missed Pluto Simba! How irritating! LOL!

  2. I met most of them by the time the group sets came around, but the ones I missed were mainly in the Disney Bros. Studio set. I missed Minnie and Daisy together. Their outfits were so cute. And, I also missed Donald and Goofy together. I just couldn't get over there in time for either of them. Also, I missed Pluto in the Simba hat as well as I was right behind you guys on that one. LOL!
